Juliano Tessaro is a Brazilian-born Italian Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in purchasing. 

He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Brazil, and he conducted his PhD research at the University of Twente, Netherlands. Currently, he serves as Procurement Director at a Fortune Global 500 company in Amsterdam. He has expertise in the automotive industry, Big4 consulting firms, startups, and other Brazilian, American, and European companies, and he has received several professional honours and awards for his contributions to the purchasing community. 

In addition to his industry roles, Juliano has valuable teaching experience since 2007, sharing his extensive procurement knowledge in specialized procurement programs and MBAs. 

His research interests lie in the field of purchasing and entrepreneurship. He has published several papers at international conferences and well-known journals such as Industrial Marketing Management and the Journal of Global Operations and Strategic Sourcing. He was also a member of several professional associations and a guest speaker at many events.
